Saturn® lenses are made using Trivex PhD™ 2.0, this material is also used for Serengeti's prescription lenses.
It is lighter than glass and offers high impact resistance and temperature stability. It's a good alternative for those who need strong, lightweight lenses. This lens is two times lighter than mineral lenses which makes it perfect for outdoor activities, providing ultimate comfort.
Available with or without Polarization, Saturn® lenses are paired with the most advanced lens technologies, including, Photochromic and Spectral Control®, as well as ultimate Anti-scratch and Anti-reflective treatments.

Absorbs 77% to 91% of the visible light, according to the lens.
Blocks 89% to 96% of the blue light, according to the lens.
Launched in 1985, this ideal driving sunglass is the original and emblematic lens of Serengeti®. The amber-colored Drivers lens naturally amplifies contrast and definition. It is engineered to transmit and distinguish red, green and yellow colors, so they can pop in all environments. This lens provides technicolor sensations of warmth and is ideal for driving because it enhances colors and contrast, while lightening and darkening to provide optimal light transmission in any condition.

555 nanometers marks the center of light’s visible color spectrum, right on the border of yellow and green. This is where the human eye sees best. In low light conditions, this lens allows more yellow and green to pass through, creating relaxing conditions for the eyes, while the light silver metallized mirror coating (available only on mineral lens) reflects glare.

As the pioneer of Photochromic technology, Serengeti® leads the industry in creating lenses that adapt to any light condition in any setting. Serengeti® Photochromic lenses are activated by the amount of UV radiation in the atmosphere and engineered to transition from light to dark, gradually.
In bright conditions, UV radiation is more intense. The lens molecules expand in size, darkening the lenses. Less light can then pass through.
In darker conditions, UV radiation is less intense. The molecules shrink and separate, lightening the lenses. More light can pass through.

Spectral Control® Technology filters up to 96% of blue light. It enhances a natural color balance and improves contrasts and perception by acting like a “HD” visual equalizer to achieve the perfect mix of colors across all conditions. It selectively manages light wavelengths, distinguishing reds, greens, and yellows. Landscapes that would be washed out, dull or flat with other lenses become defined, vibrant, and vivid — while your eyes remain cool and relaxed.

ECO-NYLON MADE IN ITALY
Grilamid BTR XE 4010, the polymer’s scientific name, is a sustainable substitute for TR90. It is extracted from Castor Plant but offers the same characteristics as TR90 Nylon (durable, flexible, lightweight, can bend, less likely to break) without requiring the use of petrol.
